The Graduate Diploma in Digital Forensics and Cyber Security aims to improve the technical capabilities of IT and Computer Science professionals across Asia. You will learn the latest investigative and forensic techniques available to traceand track digital evidence using high tech tools for investigation. You will also gain a better understanding of the legal and ethical framework using practical case studies and analysis. 


A Tailored Cyber Security Certification for Working Professionals

It is an exclusive course at Aventis that offers a unique hybrid curriculum consisting of specialized cybersecurity module developed by EC-Council paired with Aventis’ Digital Forensics and Cyber Security modules. Successful completion of the EC Council module allows students to be awarded a professionally – recognised certification awarded by EC-Council Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI)* in addition to the Graduate Diploma in Digital Forensics and Cyber Security.

* Certification is awarded upon meeting EC-Council Examination requirements.

Programme Structure

This Graduate Diploma comprises of 4 modules and is structured around the work commitments and priorities of working professionals. The details of the modules can be found below.


This module aims to provide you with insights to the technicality and legal analysis of cybercrime by exploring how cybercrime is investigated, and the regulatory laws around the collection and use of electronic evidence. Students are introduced to the technology involved in computer forensic investigations and the technical and legal difficulties involved in searching, extracting, maintaining, and storing electronic evidence, while simultaneously looking at the legal implications of such investigations and the rules of legal procedure relevant to electronic evidence.

This module covers the latest cyber security standards that enable organizations to practice safe security techniques to minimize the successful cybercrimes. It will cover a broad view of cyber security as information security and to understand the nature of the attacks and attackers that you might face. Using case studies from security practices, the course provides students with the tools and techniques for developing counter measures to defend and prevent cyberattacks including virus protection, wireless security, and data protection.

This module focuses on the hands-on guide to mastering mobile forensics for the iOS,  Android, and the Windows Phone platforms. It provides the core knowledge and skills that a Digital Forensic Investigator requires to process cell phones, PDAs, and other mobile devices. Using mobile forensics tools, you will learn how to forensically preserve, acquire, and examine data stored on mobile devices and utilize the results for any kind of civil criminal investigation. This module will cover the architecture and security mechanisms present in the various mobile platforms, the techniques and tools used by professionals to obtain and utilize digital evidence on mobile devices.

In this module, you will learn how to protect yourself and your organizations against of  Scammers, Phishers, hackers, and Identity Thieves. Learn how to determine the nature of Social Media Fraud and Online Identity Theft, online criminal activity and conducting a background check like character, habits, activities, financial information. You will also understand how criminal organizations use online social network to interact, identify victims and conceal their identity.


This is 100% coursework based programme.

Upon successful completion of the programme, you will be awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Forensics and Cyber Security by Aventis School of Management.

Admission Criteria

Participants are expected to contribute to the class learning experiences in a cohort and peer learning environment. You will be assessed based on experience, aptitude, potential and managerial skills.

At least 21 years old with a Degree in any discipline, or;

A Diploma in any course (minimum of 5 years relevant work experience), or;

Mature Candidates (at least 30 years old) with minimum 8 years of working experience.
